WideScreeen
was a midwestern ambient freedom fighter throughout the
90s. Malcontent after seeing quality downtempo sounds
relegated to rave-party chill out rooms & other
marginal (if not downright bizarre) locations such as
stairwells, fire escapes & broom closets, WideScreeen
explored various esoteric recombinant mixing strategies
involving multiple forms of digital & analog media,
finally developing a system which delivers classic
atmospheric experimentalism blended with sophisticated
computer-driven techniques. An immersive cinematic
experience in downtempo & beatless music, WideScreeen's
mixes, often accompanied by video imagery, re-contextualize
sounds & patterns in unusual ways, a musical journey in
which to indulge your temporal lobes. Check out
